Am I painstakingly teaching myself how to make bobbin lace so I can write one (1) scene in which Autumn argues with Eltanin, he gets moody, and Knight gets introspective (lol what else is new)? Yes.
BUT ALSO I’m enjoying it a hell of a lot so far, I just need a decent pillow and more bobbins

So I made a travel bolster pillow out of this and that (an old leather satchel I’ve had for ages, some pipe lagging, some quilt batting, a few bits of spare wood and linen). I really like this little baby.

I just realized that the reason why I keep using “that” is probably because I’m a francophone!
“The thing that she saw” sounds more natural to me than “the thing she saw” because I instinctively wanna put the equivalent of a “que” in there

Spoke to my source familiar with internal workings at Mastercard. The holiday call campaign re payment processor censorship is working, there is a lot of pressure being felt from your calls. This is resulting in increased response times at a core moment for Mastercard due to the holiday season

They also sell everything to companies building LLMs, there's a link offering their "datasets" (books, papers, etc) for tens of thousands of dollars USD. They also auto-scrape everything scanned and uploaded to Internet Archive's Open Library. So. Yeah. 🙃

I’m just going to block anyone attempting to justify or excuse pirating books. Times are hard, yes, but absolutely NO ONE needs to steal books. Libraries exist. There are umpteen works legitimately in the public domain. You don’t need to take income from authors trying to scrape a living.
