I don't think this seat is particularly meaningful (and it's my district!) because Democrats have put forth such uninspiring candidates that it's hard to say if voters here shifted or if they just saw no reason to come vote for whatever lousy candidates were being offered

I talk about this constantly, there is theoretically no getting rid of him for the GOP because of this, he can't just lose the nomination one year and fade into irrelevance; he can get to congress and stay there for 30 years quoting Debs and pushing human-first policies from a national podium
