When I use yank pejoratively it's not about nationality it's about how folks approach the world

If you assume Green means Jill Stein you're a yank

If you complain that non-US folks should specify what Green party people are posting about, or if you assume Polanski means Roman you're a yank
I'm not sure the civil service is ready to deal with accusations of being too woke, or too open to trans rights or EDI.

Public sector workers need you to be furious to help make our arguments.

The far right are already astroturfing everything.

Folks, when I win the euro millions some of you are going to be far more comfortable.

This post sees me too much and I don't like it.

I've taken the time to read this and he just comes across as very unwell, and he refuses therapy.
No one comes out of this interview looking great - but I think it's an important guide to the colours of transphobia.

"Just a bit transphobic" like the interviewer
"Middle class activist transphobia" like Sarah Ditum
"All consuming obsession" like Graham Linehan

A reminder for those who are not aware: "remigration" is the process of deporting all non-white people from a country. It includes citizens and is, by definition, ethnic cleansing.

And to be clear: this is not fake. I just screenshot it myself.

The most stressed out I've ever been about Christmas was when I was 16 and I got my first ever job, working at M&S in Dundrum. As soon as I started I kept hearing these myths about the Christmas Eve Waste Sale, where all the food that wasn't sold on the 24th was marked down 90%.

Was in a corner shop the other day and the shelves in front of the tills had one shelf marked 'healthier choices' and that was where they put the extra big bars of chocolate.

When I was monitoring FB etc groups around Brexit, the one thing pro and anti groups all had in common was racist & misogynistic memes and other posts about Diane Abbott. She was loathed by the centre and the right and whatever the reasons they gave if challenged, it was always misogynoir behind it
I think at this point if you're including Diane Abbott - a woman who has never held government office, has been a backbencher since 2020, and is scarcely a government ally - on your list of political wrongdoers, we all know exactly what your real concerns are

Let they who have not mistakenly published something early cast the first stone

(I won't be casting the first stone 👀)
This is not actually 'wild'.

Pretty messed up that the graph starts going back up pretty quickly even if they scrap the limit.

Absolutely scrap it, but wtf are we doing here
Why the two-child limit has to go, in a chart.

Ever have someone park up outside your home and have a phone conversation on their car on speakers and it's really bloomin' loud and you think how can they not realise it's so loud?

Cars have poor sound insulation, and they might also have the bass turned up.

I feel like this is widely known, but the horse testicles in Red Dead Redemption 2 shrink in the cold areas.
i was going through my X archives and found this by @superpodsaga.com, which I qrt'd at some point years ago

so, let me bring the question back: what is the most useless piece of video game knowledge you know?

The spokesperson said: "This year, some special individuals decided when the water was over the beach area, rather than get their little tootsies wet, they would rip down a 500-year-old wall to make a path for themselves."

You don't often get official comments like that.
The wall of this 500-year-old castle in Assynt was “ripped down” by visitors who used the stones to cross a large puddle. 😖
Ardvrek Castle wall 'ripped down' for use as stepping stones
Ardvrek Castle in Assynt is a 500-year-old former clan seat, and reputed to be haunted.

the thing that scares me about Labour HE policy is that because I work in the sector I can see how absolutely insane it is, which makes me wonder just how terrible their policies are in all the other sectors I’m in less of a position to engage with critically out of lack of knowledge.
