I pick up my flute every day and at some point I know I’ll play this beautiful piece of music by Gluck. One day I’ll do it justice, but I’ll always listen to Jean Pierre Rampal, and to my friend who studied under Rampal in Paris. Music is how I keep sane in a mad world.

@zackpolanski.bsky.social explains, once again, that the current political-economic set up does not work for the majority of people. The “reality” of the very wealthy, of Westminster and media moguls, is not the reality of the many.

We are in a bizarre moment of diplomatic history. The purported "peace plan" that appeared a few days ago begins in Russian unreality and American weakness. Demanding everything of Ukraine and nothing of Russia, its purpose is imperialism and profiteering.

2006 Blair introduced 11 US Private Healthcare Contractors into the NHS.
The following year waiting lists rose.
They chucked money at it, but the death of NHS beds and waiting times starts here.

Massive NHS costs.
Massive wait times.
Massive Private contracts.

Brexiters swore we'd stay in the Single Market and that the EU would let us cherry pick whatever we wanted. If people had known they were lying before the ref, Brexit would have been rejected.

I personally want Palantir removed from all public service data contracts. Let’s keep things in our country & controlled by our own government departments!🤔🤞
Greater Manchester ICB has again put off its adoption of an NHS data platform prescribed by the UK government and run by Palantir until there is more evidence that it will be in the “best interests” of the city's population 👀
