The Administration is restricting new clean energy supplies from coming online and making clean energy more expensive with taxes and tariffs, all while AI is spiking electricity demand. The Administration is causing electricity bills to rise. It's a crisis. podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/t...

The war will end when Russia stops fighting. Witkoff doesn't appear to want Russia to stop fighting.

Why Does Steve Witkoff Keep Taking Russia’s Side?

I need everybody to read this and understand what’s going on. These are spouses of US citizens in the country legally. They have entry clearance and green cards, they’ve passed background checks and have no criminal records. ICE is taking them anyway.

ICE deported a woman who owned a home in the US for 30 years. A judge banned ICE from deporting her to Sierra Leone where she had been tortured, so it deported her to Ghana, which kidnapped her and sent her back Sierra Leone anyway. ICE is part of this illegal conspiracy.

My bestie and I were JUST talking about this today. We still haven't processed Covid. It was traumatic, even if we made it through mostly unscathed. Now a traumatizing government on top of it, and most of us are touched in some way by the incompetence and cruelty. The winter dark is a LOT this year.
Everything seems so much harder lately. Just hard, hard, hard. (IT'S FINE IT'S FINE)

(C) do not ask AI if your turkey is done; ask a meat thermometer
This is so soulless, I can't stand it. We have BRAINS. We can USE THEM.

It's unclear to me why people don't think Marijuana is addictive or that it can be abused. Yes, even if it does also have medicinal properties. Especially now, when the drug has far more THC than when we were "kids."

More people are addicted to marijuana, but fewer of them are seeking help, experts say
Cannabis use among young adults has reached historic levels, with nearly 18 million Americans using marijuana daily in 2022.

BBC removes description of Donald Trump as "the most openly corrupt president in American history" from the broadcast today of Rutger Bregman's Reith Lecture. I was among the several hundred people to hear the original at the lecture theatre
I wish I didn’t have to share this. But the BBC has decided to censor my first Reith Lecture.

They deleted the line in which I describe Donald Trump as “the most openly corrupt president in American history.” /1

This chart (which applies even more to social media than it did to TV) lives in my head rent free.

Social media enveloping traditional media means everything and everyone is now competing in the entertainment market. Boring stuff like policy that affects millions of lives doesn’t stand a chance.

Targeting Kelly is one of those “this is why we’ll win” moments, bc it shows how politically impetuous this admin is.

There’s clearly no adult in the room to say “wait, maybe don’t go after the charismatic war hero turned literal astronaut who ran after his wife was a victim of political violence.”
Mark Kelly: "My wife, Gabby Giffords, meeting with her constituents, shot in the head. Six people killed around her, a horrific thing. She spent six months in the hospital. We know what political violence is and we know what causes it too, The statements that Donald Trump made incites others."

This morning @Harvey4council and I accompanied Ibrahima (who arrived here from Guinea when he was 17) to immigration court.

He’s seeking Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS) — and his GED, too.

Thankfully, a federal judge recently ordered the Trump Admin to protect SIJS.
