I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.

I got a response from Apple today about my complaint about the X app. Apparently it violates their content rules and have let them know. All very polite. @tupped.bsky.social

I think we have a science doesn’t suit my agenda and the poor choices of Government minister here.
Minister James Browne said Met Éireann needs to make a 'judgement call' rather than solely relying on mathematical formulas when it comes to issuing weather warnings jrnl.ie/6940649
Housing Minister criticises Met Éireann for 'withholding information' on severity of floods
The flooding mainly affected Co Wexford, Co Wicklow, and south Dublin.

It’s funny the level of interest in Cuba, relatively stable, benign and not without its problems. Then there’s Haiti a basket case of gangs left to their own devices.

Irish government announces interception reform plans to:

* Extend interception to OTT services (WhatsApp, etc.);
* Legislate for IMSI catchers; and
* Legalise spyware as an alternative form of interception.

Announcement very vague on e2e encryption; seems to intend to require backdoors.
Minister Jim O’Callaghan strengthens lawful interception powers

In Dublin, on Fenian Street, there's a factory that makes child sex abuse material.

You can pay it money, as a subscription, and that's one of the services it offers. This doesn't happen by mistake or because you've tricked or hacked the system.

It’s a feature.

Again, the people who seem to be most damaged by social media aren't the kids - who are quite good at navigating it - but the middle-aged, who get caught up in extremism, fooled by misinformation, trapped by scammers, and addicted to porn.

Stop focussing on the kids. Start with the rest of us.

The idea that journalists, politicians, groups or - you know, women, people of colour, LGBTQ+ people - should "stay on the pitch" doesn't really hold up.

Foreign Minister's account has 60k followers - 40 likes, 13k views?

Blue ticks straight to the top of the queue with misogyny, bile.
