My issue is not with Katniss being perceived as having traits that overlap with autism.
But this whole trend with flattening a fictional character's entire way of being to a DSM-IV disorder is just lazy. It means you don't actually have to engage with the text.

Oh yes. I would say it ramped up with YouTubers & the trend of looking for “Easter eggs”, “universal fan theories,” etc, it’s like a “gamification” of text study for people who don’t actually understand how to (or just don’t want to) rigorously read & break down a text. And look I get it, it’s fun!
