If he does this, and isn't impeached and removed, it's a Rubicon moment where we are no longer a republic. Sorry, I don't care how much Republicans like his policies or fear his wrath, you can't just let a president cut checks to himself from the Treasury.
Trump on his multiple suits against the federal government: "I'm supposed to work out a settlement with myself ... We could make it a substantial amount, nobody would care, because it's gonna go to numerous, very good charities."

Your state is under siege (People are literally being disappeared, threatened and killed) and you’re posting about coffee prices?

WTF is wrong with you?

Here’s the thing…for example, you most definitely won’t find my name in the Epstein Files. Hence, I can credibly claim to not have ties with Epstein.

If your name is not only in there, but you’re exchanging emails with Epstein or his people…then you have ties to Epstein. See how that works?

Some people can actually be shamed out of their jobs? Fascinating.

A huge political earthquake in Texas tonight as Democrats flipped a State Senate seat from red to blue in a district Trump won by 17 points.

Trump personally waded in — endorsing the Republican and personally urging base turnout — and was dealt a massive loss.

JUST IN: Democrats flip a red seat in the Texas Senate.

Taylor Rehmet wins against Leigh Wambsganss, a conservative activist who helped lead right-wing efforts to take over TX school boards.

With all early vote, and 95% of precincts, in, Dem up 57/43.

Trump won this seat by 17% in Tarrant County.

As more academic names keep coming up in the Epstein files, I keep thinking about this NYT interview with the Bard president from a few years ago, and wondering how many people were rationalizing in similar ways.

DHS should be embarrassed that their ICE agent hires are so soft they can’t handle being videotaped, even while masked, so they resort to pepper spraying women at close range.

And we should be proud of the Santa Barbara women who stood their ground anyway.

I don't like to talk about stories before they are fully reported, but I am writing on ICE in a Minnesota town that isn't Minneapolis. However bad you think it is, it is worse. It is a campaign of pure terror whose only strategic goal is more terror. There is no strategy other than to break people.

Judge Biery signed the order with a photo of Liam and two bible verses: The first is "But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven." The second is simply "Jesus wept."

So tell your Minnesota cops to stop assisting the fascist gestapo. They are brutalizing people outside the concentration camp in Minneapolis. It’s Minnesota State Police.
Minnesota may be known for our lakes, Bob Dylan, and Prince - but our civic engagement runs deeper.

If Donald Trump intended to make an example out of Minnesota, then I am damn proud of that example.
