I believe that China purposefully not buying our Soybeans, and causing difficulty for our Soybean Farmers, is an Economically Hostile Act. We are considering terminating business with China having to do with Cooking Oil, and other elements of Trade, as retribution. As an example, we can easily produce Cooking Oil ourselves, we don’t need to purchase it from China.

I don't think it would happen here for the same reason but it's funny to remember how economic mismanagement leading to chronic shortages of cooking oil is one of the major factors that sparked the massive protests that doomed Ceausescu.

The local manager of a small airline fleet says he is the only one doing evacuations right now!

NEW: There’s a disaster unfolding in Alaska right now. And no major network is covering it.

The remnants of Typhoon Halong battered western Alaska overnight. Homes, with people in them, have literally been swept into the Bering Strait.

At least 20 are missing. No comment from any federal agency.
