Oof. That sounds about right. I did get a decent answer from the last time I enquired, although it was also along the lines of “nothing is technically incorrect here” which is why I think the angle now is to get the waitlist data.
cail.bsky.social
When I have the energy I’m gonna rain fire on the Health Dept and try to get current waitlist depth/duration on those reports. For now they’re secret.
cail.bsky.social
I dug into this once I had waited for two years for General Surgery at Monash and saw their quarterly median wait times remain at 70-80 days. Turns out first appointments can happen more than once in a course of care.
cail.bsky.social
In fact, because the wait time states only count once the initial appointment happens they are incentivised NOT TO give appointments to older cases because it’ll throw their stats out.

Data for VIC is here: vahi.vic.gov.au

Post-initial-appointment times are tracked, are KPIs for health services, and in the case of Victoria are public data in aggregate.

So is the retrospective wait times for initial appointments.

BUT

The current appt wait list size or duration is NOT. So services have no incentive to reduce it.

Here is a current DIRECTOR within the Department effectively blowing the whistle to Deloitte that the system doesn't demonstrate "natural justice"

The Robodebt vibes here are off the charts and I'm begging media to cover this

Shit I just got a flashback to working on an HRIS project that was gonna infer gender based on names for diversity metrics

RISF members wrote a letter about this to them, not sure if you saw that.

Psychometrics and evidence science folks, I feel like we need to help software engineering out more because they are trying to measure constructs like depersonalization via software activity data?!?!!?

quick question for davinci resolve perverts (complimentary):

is there a way to include the macOS color tags that are on a video in the metadata on a media pool import that I’m missing? it would speed things up so much to have that info hit the ground running but i can’t find anything for it

Damn. This is amazing. £325 per week, paid monthly, for 3 years - and the result was a profit for the Irish economy:

Post from Threads user rodneyowl: "Ireland has declared the Basic Income for Artists scheme permanent. This will be officially announced in tomorrow’s budget. Details to follow. Congratulations to all who fought for it and the present and future artists of all sorts in Ireland. That includes me 👌We’re just comin to the end of a 3 year pilot scheme. It’s been a roaring success. For every €1 paid out to the 2000 participants, the government got €1.46 back. Can’t argue with that. Other countries are already taking note."

Don’t hang up, but as long as the BSB is still valid payments will work. The display name is only for vanity and/pr to confuse you. Bank Australia still shows up as MECU in many systems, for example. You can check here: auspaynet.com.au/BSBLinks

Does anyone have first-hand experience with using an AI agent that has “participated” in the response to an actual incident in a genuinely diagnostic — or otherwise contextually-specific way?

It’s really annoying that we are so susceptible to good nutrition, isn’t it?

The systemic failure here, IMO, is the government delegating successful operation of the 000 system in part to a bunch of private entities. This shouldn’t be touching private hands at all.

Oh, come on. If a company's systems and processes are so fragile that a single "human error" causes such an outage, their systems and processes are manifestly inadequate.

a photo of what looks like a cross between a Mac SE/30 and an iphone. It's a thin, portrait SE/30 looking device with a greyscale crt and glowy ios6 era icons, on a white background like some kind of promo photo.
