There’s a short sequence where some characters decide they’re not going to take it set to a cover of We’re Not Gonna Take It. And it wasn’t close to the worst song usage this episode.

There were a couple musical choices beforehand that I thought were pretty rough but the scene where someone’s trying to tell a joke as a distraction and there’s 0 reason for anyone not to see exactly what’s going on was just baffling to me. Genuinely could’ve been cut out entirely and lost nothing.

I feel like that episode was just kinda bad. Not even for one singular reason to point to either, so much was just bizarre. Even in one scene I was questioning what on earth they were doing with the blocking.

This season in general I often find myself wondering more about where they're going with The Boys season 5 rather than this show's actual story.
Certain things feel less like a continuation of last season's arcs and more like maybe they need to get characters from Gen V S01's A to The Boys S05's B.

I hate to say it but the majority of the country is not going to die on the hill of trans rights. We can’t protect ANY groups if we can’t win a national election, so purity tests only serve to make specific groups feel triumphant. That’s not “erasing” them; it’s long-horizon strategy.

He hates bedtime so at one point I thought maybe I’ll make it a thing that he gets some when we go to bed.

And now, years later, he still demands we go to bed with the expectation he’ll be getting treats. Even if he gets them, immediately after he‘s upset it’s bedtime again.

I sometimes give Bean dental treats at the end of the day but always put them in my pocket to surprise him with them gradually.

He’s caught onto this and is currently trying to reach into my pocket.
