Oral mucositis - Inflammation of the mouth & throat caused by a variety of cancer treatments (thanks, lenvatinib). It hurts to eat almost everything.

Survivorship isn’t simple.
We need more honest space for what comes after remission.

Side effects and long-term effects of cancer treatment have long been minimized for those surviving cancer! The phrase "manageable & tolerable" is misleading. Just because a side effect doesn't land us in the hospital doesn't mean it's tolerable.

I’m on a new steroid to hopefully reduce swelling in my chest. Most people wouldn’t expect cancer/chemo side effects to still be kicking my ass nearly six months later, but they are. #cansky
