American tanks weren’t designed for tank vs tank warfare, but these tank vs tank games, where you don’t fight panzer III and IVs, but some German blueprint that never made it to production. And suddenly you think this 1942 Sherman is absolute trash.

But clearly doctrine and context isnt important

My running theory, is that video games like world of tanks and war thunder, really skew popular perception. like you said, on paper decent, but none of those games are going to make sure your transmission shits out randomly for real sim value or run you out of fuel. And that feeds into perception
