Ugh really sorry to hear that, Esther!! Yeah, potential vax appointments are going unfilled, I'm sure. Also ridiculous that all Canadians aren't entitled to twice yearly covid shots since we know protection wanes quickly.

Frustrating. I fully understand that vulnerable people should get their shots first but I don't think we need such a long wait for the general population. Last October I got covid for the first time before I got could get an updated booster.

Still waiting for the under 65 availability to start at the end of October in ON. The pharmacies are only taking high-risk and 65+ bookings until October 27th. Won't allow other general pop bookings until that date.

In case anyone finds this helpful, I live in FL and was able to get my Covid shot at CVS today with no issues. The website made me state whether or not I a medical condition that put me at high risk so I checked yes (physical inactivity was listed and that sounds about right!). I wasn’t asked again.

I wish I'd used it. My sinuses and fatigue were so bad when I had covid that I didn't have it together enough to even think of it. And being under 65 I wasn't eligible for Paxlovid here either so the covid eventually morphed into a terrible sinus infection.
