On this date in 2002 the Red Sox signed Damian Jackson to a 1 yr 625,000 Thousand contract. In 1 season with the Sox he appeared in 109 Games hitting 261, with 1 HR, 16 Stolen Bases and a .617 OPS. During the 2003 ALDS he collided with teammate Johnny Damon, knocking Damon unconscious.

On this date in 2016 the Red Sox signed Free Agent Mitch Moreland to a 1 year $5.5 Million contract. In 3+ seasons with the Sox Moreland appeared in 386 Games hitting .251, with 64 HR’s, 226 RBI’s, a .803 OPS and a 6.0 WAR. He was an All Star in 2018.

On this date in 2012 the Red Sox made one of the best Free Agent signings in their history, agreeing to terms with Koji Uehara on a 1 yr $4.25 Million contract. In 4 seasons with the Sox he was 14-13 with a 2.19 ERA and 79 Saves. He was the most unhittable pitcher I’ve ever seen in 2013.
