I missed my chance to meet Ilhan in 2020. She was helping drop donations off at my kid's school and I passed her as she left and I arrived. But of course we were wearing masks and i just thought she was a local mom. 🥲

The best part of the march today is when the demonstrators started chanting "ICE DEEZ NUTS" (objectively hilarious) and after a bit the little old lady marching near me leans close and says, "So . . . I just don't know what that means." And I had to explain it to her.
