Yanks! Doesn't have the north/south connotation of Yankee & is what the Brits (lol I know) called us during WWII (at least in novels!) it's also 1k times better than USians. BTW I've seen some extremely hostile commentary from Europeans (lol ditto) on this, to which i say calm down gladys

Learned their lesson from Chicago where they had to destroy video evidence after it was created to keep a federal judge from seeing what actually happened. Now they're preventing its collection at all. Same as shredding documents, or maybe flushing cocaine down the toilet

It's just my son & me. When he was young we were very poor so we did nothing but go to starbucks as a treat at 7 am, then for lunch & dinner eat deli turkey & pumpkin pie. Then we graduated to takeout barbecue for about 5 years. Now we go to a nice restaurant for Thanksgiving.

Part of the rheumatologist's instructions to deal with my chronic pain was to get better sleep. As if I'm struggling to fall asleep on purpose. Like, sure, I'll just stop being such an idiot about sleeping. Got that on my to do list for tonight. Thanks.

1 of my duties is writing opinions for judges who ask for help. I was talking to the VC who reviews every draft & he said "i was just looking at 2 drafts turned in by judge X & I couldn't figure out why the 1st was excellent & the 2d was shit. And & then I saw you wrote the 1st one"
