This year, I've decided that every time a rich idiot in power does or says something stupid I'm going to counteract that stupid with a picture of something precious and real from nature. Think of it as a perpetual time-line cleanse. I think it will be a busy year. Today it's a robin in my garden.

I was stood chatting with Bev from Brookside (Sarah White) at the baggage reclaim carousel at VC Bird Airport, Antigua in 1995. We were the only two people left wondering if our luggage would ever join us. ....It did.....eventually. She was nice (I never mentioned Brookie).

I took this picture from my kitchen window this October. I thought the Nuthatch was passing through. However, they are a pair of Nuthatches who come daily for their sunflowers. I have upgraded the feeders and they now have a choice of nuts and seeds. It's like an all-inclusive bird buffet out there.

Just watching Home Alone 2 (well, it is Christmas-ish). It's been ruined by an appearance by the Mango Man-Baby. He must have been very cross not to have received an OSCAR for best supporting actor. Perhaps he will receive a FIFA award for the greatest and bigliest actor ever?

FIFA - awarding the mango-cockwomble a 'peace-prize': I know FIFA are no strangers to corruption (allegedly), but my Spidey senses are tingling and I do wonder if Trump himself 'suggested' they present him with a peace award. Either way, I'll be glad to give the World Cup a miss next year.

Well, after 5 days of headaches and numb / sore face I finally (reluctantly) sought pharmacy advice. Turns out I have shingles on my face. And as a bonus, the rash is also running down my left eye. Pharmacist gave me antivirals & made me an ugent appointment with GP (but not sure what he can add?).

Tidying up the garden, planting spring bulbs, drying and storing the daliah tubers and putting the delicate plants in the greenhouse to protect from winter frosts. Parker has been supervising and judging the quality of my work and I expect a critical end-of-year review. A Dreamie bribe should help 😼

A year ago today this little lady, Mollie passed away. Mollie-Pops was a sweet, gentle soul who I met when volunteering at a cat rescue. I fell for her the minute I saw her - there was something magical about her. Happily, I brought Mollie and her brother home. It was the best thing I ever did.
