This is excellent news!!!
#Cornish has won Part III of the European Charter for Regional and Minority Languages after many years of campaigning by our community, including Kowethas an Yeth and the other language organisations, Cornwall Council, activists, and YOU: teachers, learners, speakers and supporters together. 💛
#VIDEO: After years of hard work, the #Cornish language will be given Part Three status, meaning it will be recognised and protected at the same level as #Welsh, #Scottish and #Irish Gaelic!

The script changes in this manuscript are WILD.
A fun afternoon yesterday with the @rialibrary.bsky.social Stowe Missal! MS D ii 3 dates to the late 8th/early 9th centuries, and contains excerpts from the Gospel of St John and a Latin Missal. The last folio features Irish charms to protect against loss of eyesight and urinal diseases! 📜🎉

I haven't touched Old Norse materials in a while, but I *love* Hallfreðr saga.
New post up: a translation of Hallfreðr "troublesome poet" Óttarson's conversion verses.

If genuine, they provide an amazing insight into a Viking Age pagan grappling with a change in religion.
