Saw this as a Starbucks barista, working the drive thru. I can’t articulately explain it, but people conducted themselves differently ordering in the cafe than at the drive-thru.

People felt they could rule by fiat being in a car, and it felt like an in-person version of being a keyboard warrior

You can’t fix living standards while the economy rewards ownership over work. Until we rebuild housing and transport around people instead of assets, the cost-of-living crisis will never end.
