The tech world will take everything. Except responsibility
A real news outlet publishing the phrase "Grok apologized" should result in like a week-long timeout. Think about what you've done.

And they still don't have a readable sign that tells you when the next train will come
I've been thinking about the possibility of this concept for years (using panels in subway tunnels to create a stop-motion video effect as trains pass) and was hoping the TTC might use it for an art installation. Instead it looks like it will be used for advertising. www.thestar.com/news/gta/ttc...
TTC opens the door to running ads in Toronto’s subway tunnels. But there’s a catch
As soon as next summer, TTC riders might be subjected to advertisements as they travel between stations.

Things that don't need to be connected to the internet, part 1: any household appliance.
not to start discourse, but you guys know robot vacuums make maps of your home & amazon (or whoever) keeps them, right? like i don't talk about this because it feels like i'm saying "you know you shouldn't leave your car running in the garage with the doors closed", but maybe i need to say that too.

Wow!
“Dutch people cycle an average of 2.6km each per day. If this pattern was replicated worldwide, annual carbon emissions would drop by 686 million tonnes.

This mammoth figure exceeds the entire carbon footprint of most countries, including the UK, Canada, Saudi Arabia and Australia.” @euronews.com
Cycling like the Dutch would slash the world’s carbon footprint
If everybody cycled like the Dutch, we could offset the UK or Australia’s entire carbon footprint.

Hard to believe this is real. But an obsession with fonts shows a crazy level of micromanagement - and a need for tight control.
Marco Rubio ordered diplomats to return to using Times New Roman font in official communications, calling his predecessor's decision to adopt Calibri a “wasteful” diversity move

The secretary of state called it a "wasteful" diversity move, according to an internal department cable seen by Reuters.

Nothing's free in this world. But just try to make them pay to use the roads!
🤔 stephen a smith spouts Republican/billionaire talking points about Zohran : "Free buses, grocery stores, child care… Nothing's free in this world.”

Yes SAS, we pay taxes and it’s free when you use it. libraries, parks, etc. — You’re not helping minorities with this stuff, you’re hurting them.
