TIL about a memorial ceremony in Iceland in 2019 to mark the end of a glacier, changing the place name from Okjökull to Ok (jökull = glacier). Uncompromising wording on the bronze plaque:
"This is to acknowledge that we know what is happening and what needs to be done. Only you know if we did it".

Played STATIONFALL for the awxond time this afternoon and lost on the second tiebreaker. Hilarious game - I bribed someone to knock my character unconscious so I could use the medevac shuttle!

I'm at a holiday party for a networking group, and the Secret Santa theme is for was to give someone a gift that they would have liked as a child, make a small speech, and the group guesses the intended recipient.
All the gifts are being donated to the Children's Hospital.

The Underworld CCG from Ludia was a team where almost everyone gelled. We turned out the full game in 9 months and had a great time creating new tech and 300ish animated cards.
Colleagues still talk about the team vibe, and I'm still chasing that high, tbh.
And looking for an excuse to remake it!

What’s the most fun game you ever worked on? I don’t mean the game itself being fun but the team/people you were with. My most fun one was GRiD with Codemasters, I really loved the environment art team, we had so many laughs during that project even though the overtime was very high. #gamedev

The ending of the first film was very nearly perfect (they botched the timing a little bit... no spoilers), so I'm torn about the need for a sequel with John Wick-style backstory escalation...

One of the few d20 conversions that I think didn't do damage to the original brand: Call of Cthulhu d20. Great author (John Tynes!) , solid publication (by WotC!), and perhaps more importantly: always intended as a one-and-done, so it didn't crash in 2003 and take the original with it.
