Windows 11 started falling apart at the seams for me and crashing constantly last year, leading to me to switch to Linux back in June. Now there's broken updates causing issues on my work PC too... none of this is even considering the AI being crammed down our throats, privacy invasions and the rest

Entirely typical of the BBC's treatment of trans people that it presents Michael Foran, who is literally on the advisory Board of the Sex Matters hate group, as an independent expert.

New - Nigel Farage has been found by the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards to have made 17 standards breaches, adding up to over £380,000 in late declarations.

He’s apologised, so no further investigation (which seems unusual for a breach this large)

Minneapolis and Saint Paul have basically mobilized into a war economy of mutual aid and non-violent defense. I’ve never seen anything like it, even during Covid. People who barely vote are guarding their schools from ICE and doing the shopping for neighbors in hiding.
This is so smart. I’m so impressed with all the different ways you’re helping your neighbors.

Feeling a bit low today? That’s human.
Being told it’s the most depressing day of the year? That’s marketing.

Blue Monday is not an actual thing.
I should know. I wrote a book explaining why our brains fall for it.

Avatar movies existing don't negatively effect me - I watched the first and thought it was pretty but empty, and have ignored the others, although I'm aware the second is Questionable - but there's no reason to announce this except to pave the way for using generative AI in future instalments.

"Congratulations, we are cutting migration. But we have persistently high NHS waiting lists, a shortage of social care, collapsing universities, missed housebuilding targets, lower economic growth and higher taxes."

Falling migration could be about to drive your taxes up
Our reliance on migration for economic stability and adequate care for our ageing population is obvious and undeniable

Sometimes politics isn’t actually all that difficult. It’s just the current generation of Westminster leaders have an amazing gift for making everything seem that way.
It speaks to how broken MPs' media diet is that all parties didn't collectively go "pedophilia bad" at the first possible opportunity here

One of the few things that might actually get some kind of reaction from Musk would be the government and all MPs simply leaving X.

This doesn't require regulatory or legal action. There are no barriers. They could *and should* just do it.
Liz Kendall to give a Commons statement today on online regulation. She wrote this Telegraph piece, calling this a tipping point.

I'd like to hear govt + the regulator show that they are taking the full range of unlawful content seriously - not just one strand

The Rehearsal, season 2, the most insane finale of any series of all time, just jaws to the floor from the first minute to the genius final line.
Given that apparently the Stranger Things finale was meh (idk, didn't watch it, just the scuttlebutt) and we're not that far removed from the disastrous GOT finale that retroactively made everyone have never cared about the show:
