The tragic reality facing people fleeing to this country in fear

When our daughter was 3 years old, we had to ask the school not to teach genocidal passages from the bible because that is too young to know that soldiers killed and still kill babies.
Another primary school targeted with abuse because of a Nativity that mentions refugees (now cancelled). You know it’s bad when the atheists have to start quoting scripture. My brothers in Christ, meet Jesus. He was a refugee www.christianitytoday.com/2025/01/jesu...

Yup. Never a sincere proposal
It's very possible that the conversation between Steve Witkoff and Putin's aide Ushakov has been leaked by Russians (it's obvious that they make recordings of all conversations).

Why would they do it?

You have to ask, why was Witkoff chosen for this critically important role of special envoy to Putin? He had no diplomatic or foreign policy experience. No education on those subjects. So of all people, why him? I think what we all surmised is clear - Putin wanted Witkoff.

They also generate thousands of jobs, reduce our exposure to volatile gas prices, and allow us to stick two fingers up to fossil-fueled dictators.

“In Finland, the number of homeless people has fallen sharply. Those affected receive a small apartment & counselling with no preconditions. 4 out of 5 people affected make their way back into a stable life. And all this is CHEAPER than accepting homelessness.”

It costs a lot less to house people.

Always true. Prevention is so much cheaper.
Anderson Cooper: So it's more expensive to have a chronically homeless person living on the streets than it is to actually subsidize an apartment for them?

Answer: Yes, we’re paying more as taxpayers to walk past that person on the street and do nothing… #HousingFirst
