The weirdest part of the whole Greenland thing was invoking the threat of China when we were the only country issuing demands. Anyway…
We’re renewing Canada’s relationship with China.

As part of our new strategic partnership, China is granting visa-free travel for Canadians.

This is a wild take
The successful effort to force Biden out signaled to elite media that they had a veto over Democratic Party primary voters. Whether they successfully exercise it or simply try to in 2028 is an open question but bet your sweet nippy they’re going to try.
Have you ever once seen the New York Times quote Trump like this?

The fact that these sentences always end with "... which we will cram with more work for them" and not "... so we moved to a four-day workweek" really illustrate the hollowness of some AI evangelists' promises that AI will deliver us to some kind of post-work utopia.
“By removing writing from reporters’ workloads, we’ve effectively freed up an extra workday for them each week” is such a strange sentence to read.

the very idea of gavin newsom in 2028 is preposterous. he's a throwback to the time where you could put a haircut in a suit and have him mouth platitudes while the status quo grinds on. we're so far past that. we got pedophile nazis now. lol that you want to reanimate dan quayle

How is it not standard practice to link to the text of a bill or a vote on a bill when publishing a story on it? How? I can’t understand it.

Even worse - when there’s a link where it says “Bill” and it’s just to an earlier story.

You can't... repeal... a scientific finding. At that point it's just called lying about it.

To me the danger of the way people talk about AI on here is that they don’t really understand it beyond the obvious flaws. And not much attempt to learn what people who aren’t paid (or paying) to hype it are getting out of it.

Anyway, I think this better line of attack is being ignored as a result.
The problems with AI are primarily ones of corporate power and governance—a tiny handful of billionaires are deciding the future of this increasingly powerful technology.

I tend to believe the whistleblowers here; but whether you do or not, the real problem is that the public doesn’t decide.

Also seems good to remember Trump talks a lot of bullshit and likes to declare victory after he loses. I wouldn't feel confident predicting either way.
He literally says in this clip that ICE will keep in Minnesota “quick reaction forces” — a military term — to go after “agitators.” Remember that those on the ground in MPLS have spent more than a week trying to tell everyone that Trump’s prior “deescalation” was a ruse and ICE is still operational
Homan: "Operation Metro Surge is ending. In the next week, we're going to deploy the officers here on detail back to their home stations or to other areas of the country where they're needed."
