There are people who will look at this picture and blame the bike lane for the congestion. #bikenyc
Cars everywhere

Masculinity is weird. I heard a guy at the supermarket talking about how being able to cook is a feminine pursuit, or as he put it “for girls”. Imagine being an adult man and not knowing how to make your own dinner. Be better, fellas.

This gentleman proceeded to pass a school bus with its lights on and stop sign fully extended five blocks after I took this pic. At least they knew he was there because his bike is unbelievably loud.

✅Engine so loud I could hear him coming from four blocks away.
✅Defaced plate
✅Riding in the bike lane

Despite also having two wheels motorcycles are essentially just like cars. Like cars they are bullies on the road who use their size advantage to intimidate bikers.

A scary incident occurred at the Jay St Metrotech Station when a track fire caused the station to fill with smoke.

The @fdny.bsky.social response was delayed due to illegally parked vehicles on Jay St. They couldn't even access the curb due to @nypdnews.bsky.social vehicles parked at a bus stop.

Tofu scramble works for me. Absolutely fantastic egg replacement food that’s protein rich.

Over the weekend I ran into two different hard working blue collar drivers who parked in a way that blocked both sidewalks. So sick of these selfish assholes. #nyc

Everyday is just an unrelenting torrent of bad news.

Considering how often this happens I’d have to assume this company prides itself on parking like this.

This style of double parking has become more and more common. You found a spot, yet still park in the bike lane? Drivers are somehow becoming even more lazy.
Winter Wolf Tech van parked in a bike lane parallel to a wide open, unoccupied parking spot.

I was surprised to see so many people out considering it was the first bike bus of the school year and it was raining.

I’m lucky because their route is almost entirely on my commute to work, so I just ride along.
chriszahner.bsky.social
Always happy to see you all out there.

The @bergenbikebus.bsky.social is back! Impressive turnout considering it was raining.

Depends on the group, I guess. Some rides can attract a couple hundred people and the skill/experience disparity can be enormous, which often leads to crashes and injuries.

It's that time of year again, welcome back to school kiddos! This week we're going to address Toronto's back to school/micro mobility campaign & ask that they direct all available resources at dangerous drivers who cause hundreds of serious injuries & deaths each year in TO. 📷 @tomflood.bsky.social

Solo rides are safer, more fun and offer a greater sense of freedom than group rides.

If you want to do long rides (50 miles or more) you will need a comfortable saddle, like a Brooks B17.

Don’t have Brooks money? Try a Charge Spoon. Great saddle for around $40.

You do not need to buy “cycling specific” clothing to ride your bike

I remember watching this when it came out and loving this bike.

NYC is a good example. It’s easier to simply not have a car here.
