It's absolutely disgusting what the New York Times, and particularly Azeen Ghorayshi, is doing with its coverage of autism. It's so deeply irresponsible.

It's the same playbook they ran on trans kids.

Thank you everyone for braving the cold today to mark

Today we honour our trans siblings lost to violence, wars, personal struggles, and harmful policies. Each life should’ve had safety, joy, and possibility.

The EHRC want to exclude women from femal single-sex spaces based on how "female" they look.

This is off the scale sexism and misogyny.

Millions of women will face harassment as result of this insanity.

This book is titled “Disabling Intelligences” for many reasons. First, because so-called “AI” is built from historical commitments to the excision of disability from the classification of humanity.

Remember, while the UK government prattled on about 'cancel culture' they cultivated the real threats to academic freedom. Forcing universities to be dependent on internationalization through broken funding models and failing academic staff.

Anyway I hated Jill Lepore from when I first knew her in the late 1990s Cambridge playground days and I was an adjunct at Trinity and she referred to her tenure track position at BU as a “starter job.”

Chatbots — LLMs — do not know facts and are not designed to be able to accurately answer factual questions. They are designed to find and mimic patterns of words, probabilistically. When they’re “right” it’s because correct things are often written down, so those patterns are frequent. That’s all.

In case you're wondering where we're at with #UKHE: senior managers are now trying to use the *anti-terrorism* mechanisms to reprimand their staff for talking with local politicians.

But everything's fine. No need for government to intervene and put an end to the abuses of power.
