i feel like a lot of the disconnect between the ai boosters and the rest of us is about the fact that they do not think the humanities matter, therefore political, sociological, and cultural critiques don’t matter. “people are using this” is not an answer to “this is a detriment to society”

If you REALLY want to boycott MAGA-supporting corporations, be ready to give up a LOT of your favorite products.

This site tracks all the major contributors to the chaos. And many sell a huge number of products.

I'm sad to announce that I had to see the #SuperMarioBrosGalaxy trailer last night before #WickedForGood
November 26, 2025 at 3:48 PM
I didn't want to see #WickedForGood as much as I wanted to see my friends so mission accomplished to Art I guess.

After we saw #WickedForGood I got to be the one who told my friends about how Gregory McGuire wrote the best menstruation scene in contemporary fairy tale retellings. #HiImFunAtParties

There are many more bad tech products to avoid. But I keep coming back to @hypervisible.blacksky.app and David Golumbia’s concept of luxury surveillance.

We need to really think about the surveillance tech we’re adopting — and certainly that we’re pushing on others.

As a survivor of the Tulsa Race Massacre, Viola Ford Fletcher bravely shared her story so that we’d never forget this painful part of our history. Michelle and I are grateful for her lifelong work to advance civil rights, and send our love to her family.

Was so happy to contribute to this lovely Post Games episode and talk about getting to trade formative games with people you love. Also just thankful to Chris outside of the show, who has been a much needed well of wisdom for me throughout this deeply weird year.
When it comes to video games, I'm as prone to doom scrolling as anybody else. But!!!

It's important to protect hope and happiness. I've collected 19 game devs, critics, comedians, a union leader, and a superhero to share what they're grateful for.

Megyn Kelly claimed Epstein was into “the barely legal type,” referring to 15 year-olds.

So I wrote about how her comments highlight the ways both purity culture and rape culture sexualize young girls and make male desire their responsibility.

The Barely Legal Type: Purity Culture, Rape Culture, and America’s Lose-Lose Proposition for Girls
The very parts of American culture that claim to promote teen abstinence and sexual purity operate on a parallel logic to the rape culture that enables the darkest misogynistic violence against women.
