An aside: I think the last page of Where The Wild Things Are might be my favourite to read to my children. It's just so satisfying.
Absolutely solid rave from the children, just like this Maurice Sendak story! www.openculture.com/2015/09/maur...

My carefully considered, nuanced and balanced policy view is that we should tax gambling profits, including sports betting, at like 98% and one executive's kidney per quarter.

I'm not sure having every UK mainstreet be three quarters Ladbrokes is good, actually.

I do think that one answer to the "why do people who like cozy pancakes stuff play 5E, a game that offers little support other than in the illustrations for cozy pancakes stuff" question is just that players are accustomed to a game's narrative and mechanical sides being distinct.

very good 'wot this is mental' read here.
A solicitor, Andrew Milne has been bullying leaseholders across Sheffield into paying him extraordinary sums, with no legal basis.

Why hasn't the SRA stopped him? Because he's conducted an extraordinary campaign against the SRA. 180 complaints. Two judicial reviews.

i came across the saying "to follow like a Tantony pig" so I get curious and look it up, but Tantony isnt a place, it's a contraction of St Anthony who is the saint of swineherds, so the proverb means to follow someone like a pig following the hog messiah. alas this information will not pay my bills

Ngl visiting Margate’s Crab Museum was a highlight of our summer (make of that what you will), combine that with my love of giant crabs in fantasy settings and I’ve been trying to think of a way of featuring it in the mag 🤔

Talking of spaceships, what are the best game/novel/film examples of space combat which aren't essentially mapping WW2 naval/air battles onto space?

The fact that itch posted this and not even an hour later I got a bunch of new sales proves how big it is when other people talk about your games.

It can literally be a life changing events.

When John Harper made a nice quote tweet about Breathless, hundreds of people looked at the game.

In 2025 I will begin publishing Cairn supplements for third parties, under the moniker Cairn Press.

If you're a writer and want help with editing, layout, or printing I should be able to hook you up with the right people.

My goal is to make more Cairn content and get people paid for their work.
