Our lawsuit is fighting to ensure that critical research, including on Alzheimer’s disease, HIV prevention, LGBTQ+ health, and sexual violence can continue.

Research must be guided by science, not politics.
Trump tried to gut science research funding. Courts and Congress have rebuffed him.
Scientists' worst fears about Trump's cuts to research funding haven't come to pass, thanks to several legal challenges and Congress’ recent rejection of his proposed budget cuts.

One of the biggest assumptions I've seen with digital ID is that TEEs can't be compromised to the point of leaking sensitive credentials. Which feels like a naive approach and I don't see any back up plans if that happens.

New data shows that 64 non-citizens were arrested by ICE while taking domestic flights at airports from January-October 2025 — nearly twice the number arrested during a similar period in 2024.

Know your rights while you travel this holiday season.
Know Your Rights | Enforcement at the Airport | ACLU
At the border, you are likely to encounter Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers, and you may encounter Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) agents. HSI is part of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Know your rights in these scenarios.

📣 Germany's close to reversing its opposition to mass surveillance & private message scanning, & backing the Chat Control bill. This could end private comms-& Signal-in the EU.

Time's short and they're counting on obscurity: please let German politicians know how horrifying their reversal would be.
We are alarmed by reports that Germany is on the verge of a catastrophic about-face, reversing its longstanding and principled opposition to the EU’s Chat Control proposal which, if passed, could spell the end of the right to privacy in Europe. signal.org/blog/pdfs/ge...

The entire HR department at the CDC is gone. Everyone at the IRB, which makes sure studies are conducted ethically and rigorously, and the ethics office, which oversee conflicts of interest for CDC leaders and advisory committee members, were also let go.
