This. I firmly believe that judicial rulings need to be made very public and their justifications very clear. People have a right to know.

On Holocaust Remembrance Day, we remember the six million Jewish people murdered by the Nazis, as well as countless other victims.

We honor their lives by rejecting the evils of antisemitism, dehumanization, and authoritarian violence wherever they appear.

Never again means never again for anyone.

I’m glad that Congresswoman Omar is safe.

Our state has been shattered by political violence in the last year. The cruel, inflammatory, dehumanizing rhetoric by our nation’s leaders needs to stop immediately.

Thinking from a strategic angle: I suspect the murder of Alex Pretti and its stark clarity essentially collapses MAGA's 'margin for error' going forward with DHS.

The public will react more strongly and infer more negatively from what they see unless the public stops seeing Bad ICE videos entirely.
Any halfway sane administration (or regime) would want to move heaven and earth to make the bad videos out of Minneapolis stop - confirming a narrative (ICE out of control!) is more potent and easier than creating one.

But this is the Trump administration and they just aren't that competent.
They've given the literal dumbest guys in America a military arsenal, a blank check, and immunity to do whatever they want. How fucking stupid do you have to be to break into a consulate?

🤔Why does this matter?

In 2024, over 137,000 Kansans cast a ballot by mail.

In 2022, that number was over 131,000.

In 2020, it was nearly 500,000 — over a third of the electorate.

A Kansas court will hear a request to dismiss a pro-voting lawsuit challenging a state law that eliminates the three-day grace period for mail ballots.

It will also hear advocacy groups’ request to block the law, which they argue make it “virtually impossible” to vote by mail.
