With all my talk about Orla! and Sink: Halloween Special, I’ve been neglecting chat about Grawlgore & Shanks! I just want you to know that Book One is coming soon to backers, and that @joemulv.bsky.social & @jpjordan.bsky.social have been killing it on the pages coming in!

Across the land people stop and look to the skies, hoping to once again hear the sound of the Thought Bubble Haircut klaxon.

And somewhere outside Glasgow, a man - getting on in his years but you absolutely still would - rests his hand on it and whispers, almost imperceptibly:

“Not today”

Oh, Saturday 5pm is the apex for me. It’s the very reason why I’m simply not doing Sunday this year

Big shout out to all the people at Thought Bubble who come to interact with me during my “small talk work in progress” hours of Friday night and Saturday until about 3pm, for the benefit of people after that time who will get the fully polished chat and anecdotes until I go home at 5pm 🫡

A genuine uncompromising menace that doesn’t care if you’re plot armoured. It would be really easy for every encounter with the Blob to be repetitive, but they’re all so distinct! Everyone gets their own traumatic bespoke death

Got into a big argument with 70s rockers Thin Lizzy the other day about who wrote the greatest screenplay of all time. I had to hand it to Puzo and Coppola for “The Godfather”, but the band were ADAMANT that the honour should go to the script for “Chinatown”.

The other day I found myself in an impromptu game of American football with rock sisters Haim, but when we couldn’t find a ball we had to use whatever was to hand on their tourbus - namely a pile of HBO DVD boxsets!

Sopranos, True Blood…it felt right.

But I fumbled when it came down to The Wire
