Fateh calls for a local wealth tax. "They want to cut funding for cities like Minneapolis," Fateh said..He said that we need to work with the state legislature. Fateh said that Frey doesn't have a single endorsement from the state legislature. Frey said he's happy to have Walz support.
"If we are spending $5M more dollars in affordable housing," Hampton said in a hypothetical. Then we could look to see if it works or not. Whether to fund or not fund.
Davis is calling for a wealth tax and a land value tax. "We can't support support something like Stable Homes, Stable Schools," Davis said and cited the six figure police settlements.
Frey said that he's against raising property taxes. "We need to be generating additional revenue sources," said Frey. He said that the Mayor's office should work with the state legislature.
Frey Hampton and Davis are against a $20 minimum wage. Fateh supports.
Jazz Hampton said that setting a minimum wage isn't a good idea without understanding where inflation would be. Frey said that we need to have a conversation with small businesses.

Fateh said that he would support a Department of Small Businesses. He called for a $20 minimum wage and a scheduling regulations. It was pulled from the working families table. He said he's against burn shifts where a restaurant worker closes and opens the store in the morning.
Jazz Hampton said that he wouldn't have signed the Labor Standards Bill. Frey said he doesn't deal on hypotheticals. Frey said that he is reducing regulations cut - doesn't cite the regulations but did mention grant proposals.
Business Regulation Q: Regulations in restaurants have been pushing business out towards the suburbs. Jazz Hampton said the Labor Standards board was lopsided. He said we can have conversations with restaurant owners to help spur small business growth.
Davis said that small businesses told him that "we have to get our hands around safety."
Frey said that Business owners should have multiple leases per building. He said that if you move the buses off Nicolette it will make the plaza thrive.
Frey talked about putting everything in one neighborhood as a council member for North Loop. "We can add more doors to each block," Frey said. Roper how are we doing with this more doors issue?
