Two years ago I made one of my final threads on the Twitter. I'd like to reproduce it here, because this is the better place. On Oct. 25, 2022, I lost the best cat. His name was Raimi (after the director). He was 11. Cancer and a host of other issues that all came on at the same time.

If insurance companies are "ripping off America," how does giving people HSAs to spend on health insurance companies solve the problem? 🤔

As we mourn Rob Reiner, don’t skip this: he was, pretty much, personally responsible for overturning California’s Prop 8 banning same sex marriage.

I had a joke about Cassandra, it’s hilarious, but only to me.
I had a joke about Ananke. It was inevitable. I have a joke about Chronos but I'll tell it at another time.
I had a joke about Sisyphus that made me pretty happy. Rbuthl (roll boulder up the hill laughing.)

This is just a staggering number - truly incomprehensible.

Hundreds of thousands of children dead because a fucking Afrikaner dismantled USAID.

I wish Magritte could know that in the year 2025 someone was walking the streets of San Francisco dressed as The Son of Man and a person walking by fist pumped and yelled in the most bro voice "Aw yeah, Muh-GREET!" You are a timeless legend, René.

Honestly we'd be a much better world if all art from over fifty years ago were just available for free instead of locked behind pay-to-watch streamers, overpriced home video releases, or just non-existent beyond piracy. Public domain takes too long and copyright owners usually suck.
After leaving HBO Max earlier this year, ‘Looney Tunes’ is a hit on Tubi, the company says, and popular across generations. It should be a model for every classic cartoons trapped in streaming limbo.

The ability to remove your post when a hostile account quote-tweets you is a great feature of Bluesky.

To do it, go to their quote-tweet of you, click on the three dots in the bottom right, then click “detach quote.”

It shows up as “removed by author.”
