The Masquerade Hare could only be found by solving a set of devilishly devious clues.

Or by dating Kit Williams' ex, who in a moment of incredibly poor OPSEC had been with him when he buried it.

Guess which happened first?

Cheers yourself up with these comical queens of the silent screen
Since we are once again dealing with "the only silent era comedians of note were men" I feel I need to stand up for the ladies.

What are some phrases you've made up or altered?

I'm quite fond of saying "Take this with a Carthage of salt" if I'm *REALLY* talking out of my ass, as well as "Eh, horseshoes and hand grenades" when something is close enough

I've been thinking about PhDs. Folk describe a study process that is long, arduous, emotionally taxing, intense and becomes more frightening as the end approaches. Yet some folk get honorary Doctorates just for stuff they were doing anyway. I can adapt a cake recipe from a round tin to a square ...

In other words, a regressive tax. Labour should be about progressive tax but they don't know their history and they don't care that they don't know.
April 2022 Income Tax Threshold £12,570
April 2031 Income Tax Threshold £12,570

Should be about £16,970.

Meaning every person earning £16,970 or more is paying £1,231.86 more in tax.

Threshold freezes are a tax on the poorest.

Dreadful, dreadful news from Hong Kong. My thoughts are with the bereaved and families of missing folk. Bringing back memories of the horror that was Grenfell Tower. Such sadness 😕

I think this may have been associated with what is now Northumbria University; the site itself is now housing, judging by google maps

Lino Print of the Week 🌾

No Black Friday deals here!

Just me, some ink, and a roller. No flash sales, no countdown timers, just slow art, made the slow way.

If you can, please sprinkle a bit of your spend towards small businesses and creatives.

It honestly makes such a difference.

Thank you x

I wish I didn’t have to share this. But the BBC has decided to censor my first Reith Lecture.

They deleted the line in which I describe Donald Trump as “the most openly corrupt president in American history.” /1

So grateful to Good Law Project. I’ve had antiabortion groups trying to shut me up before. It makes me more determined to speak up but the chilling effect is real.
Strong yes. All too often the law is used as a tool by dark money funded right wing activists to silence those who push back. We employed our defamation lawyer to try and level the playing field.
Hi Jolyon, are the Good Law Project able to help when abortion rights activists get legal threats for calling out anti-abortion groups spreading disinformation?

Scotland has an opportunity to fix our abortion laws. I petitioned Westminster for decriminalisation and I’ve heard all the wild racist and misogynistic disinformation before 👇🏻

Gemma Clark: Disinformation around Scotland's abortion law is insulting to women
Disinformation around reasonable, recommended changes to Scotland’s abortion laws is as exhausting as it is predictable
