Another case of retaliation is Alma Bowman.

Alma is a disabled 58 year old woman who spent 30 months in an ICE camp during first Trump regime

When released, she worked as a whistleblower to expose abuse within the system

In March of this year, ICE grabbed her again

She’s been detained ever since

Disabled People are Being Mistreated in ICE Detention Facilities

Why is no one talking about it? Where's the media? Where's the public outcry? Another example of the pervasive nature of ableism and how society views disabled people as expendable.

Also did you see where lower income people hit by hurricane Helene aren't getting as much assistance as higher dollar property owners? Discrimination does still exist against lower income folks. I'm just saying what my experience was, not saying it was legal.

Now I make $150 a month too much and not complaining. 25 years ago I made $700 on short term disability and was denied. Like I said, I don't begrudge anyone in need of assistance, but back then was literally told I didn't quality because I wasn't a single mother, minority or senior citizen.

No, I make $150 a month too much. This was over 25 years ago,I literally was told that,she asked if I meant to check Caucasian,said yes I'm white,said we can't help you, I was astounded. I don't mind anyone getting benefits if they're needed,have friends on assistance, 100% support it.

So unfair they tell us to go to school so we can get better jobs and then we amass the debt and the jobs aren't available or pay enough, it's a vicious cycle.Was lucky mine was locked in low interest and I made sure I paid it even if it meant no heat or food, paid balance with disability settlement

I use eBay, same vendors, cheaper prices and free shipping on most items, thus avoiding the prime fee or having u spend $35 for free shipping.
