This is the most fun baseball game I've ever seen

This has got to be the most consistently thrilling baseball game I've ever seen to go this deep into extras and with this little actual scoring

I also think I only say this to be kinda cringe, like it's a little ironic
csreid.bsky.social
🤔 I absolutely do that, but I'd definitely say "five times faster". I think I use "5-ex" etc as a verb? Like "this is two slow, you gotta five-ex it"

I truly don't understand you people

wsj article from yesterday suggests workers will take 25% less salary for a fully remote position and that seems a little high but not THAT high

I didn't reply to the OP, I replied to someone arguing with OP. So like...check again?

It's temporary. Very quickly, you run out of billionaire money, and then what? All the systems and institutions that had people in poverty before are still there.

Also, it's impossible anyway because Elon doesn't have half a trillion in cash. Impossible + not good anyway. Just not a real solution

Idk how old I thought he was but FIFTY 😭😭😭

This sounds like a weird stupid bit, right? Look in the thread though

cyborg-eyed charlie kirk and hitler-moustache'd alex jones fly to an arctic cave that leads them to underground hyperborea, where they are greated by hulk hogan, yakub, john mcafee and aryan kash patel, who says "i'll see you in valhalla". fat pope jd vance smiles. it's set to a t.A.T.u. remix

If you do it just for people in poverty it's about $14k per person, so it would stave off poverty for about 6 months. So to answer your question directly: probably not 0, but not that many.
csreid.bsky.social
All of Elon's money distributed among the population is about $1400 per person. That's not life changing for very many people, and you can do that once.

Prosperity comes from institutions and growing the pie. The problem with billionaires is that (rn especially) they're toxic to those institutions
csreid.bsky.social
Eh, actually never mind. You're quite stupid and smug. Gonna just be a block anyway
csreid.bsky.social
Conversations happen in replies, not quotes. One more is just a block.

I did read the thread. What are you claiming I'm missing?
csreid.bsky.social
I also find it extremely gross to assume there can always be some immigrant underclass to stay poor and have enough babies to support native entitlements, and we should plan for a future where that's not what immigration means.
csreid.bsky.social
That's not a misconception I hold.

My point is that birth rates fall as incomes rise, and a border-free utopia probably sees much higher incomes everywhere. There is always migration, but it won't always fix population decline.
csreid.bsky.social
For now, sure. I doubt that continues in perpetuity.
csreid.bsky.social
The exact same thing but framed differently: just pay people to have kids.
csreid.bsky.social
Immigration is a good thing, but not because it fixes population issues.
csreid.bsky.social
sorry but "release the Epstein files" is do-nothing garbage. We all know trump raped kids and no one cares. When they finally do get released, everyone will continue to either not care or deny it and Trump & co. will laugh and spit in our faces again and keep turning the fascism cranks
csreid.bsky.social
Idk why you're arguing with me, hit up Marion County Prosecutor Ryan Mears with your pedantic bullshit
csreid.bsky.social
The prosecutor in Indianapolis who is charging him disagrees with you.
