President Trump is the lowest of the low of human beings. A most disgusting person.

I agree. It’s such a beautiful song.

Thats my kind of mayor.
“It's not my duty as Mayor to make sure you have a parking spot. For me it's the same as if you bought a cow, or a refrigerator, and then asked me where you're going to put them.” — Mayor of Pontevedra, Spain (re-elected 6 times)

Surprised to see Saanich council vote against this. They are listening to those LOUD, complaining people who don’t want change.

I’m glad the company responded to the public outcry.

Victoria, BC: “You can pretend, in Portland and Vancouver, that no one bikes in those cities, because you don’t see bicyclists – they’re off on side streets. So politically, they’ve vanished. And I think that’s a big reason why Portland and Vancouver have stalled and we haven’t.”

Well done Bruce Springsteen. The words brought this Canadian to tears. Something very ugly is happening in the USA today.

Wow. Very moving piece. Bruce Springsteen completely captures the injustice of what’s happening in the USA.
I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.

Does this mean the District of Oak Bay is removing their account? Why would the District do that? I don’t agree that Connect Oak Bay is an alternative. The information is outdated.

I’m pleased with these statements from the Government too. Trump needs to be called out making such ridiculous statements. I struggle to understand Trump’s motives in making such statements that are so completely, obviously false.

I agree and will add that the chaos monster doesn’t negotiate. He’s not a negotiator, he’s a bully.

Lots of angry folks, and good on them! However, what has it accomplished? What is astonishing to me is that ICE continues with their beatings and killings, nothing changes.

The words the come out of his mouth are unbelievable, so ignorant.

I’ve experienced the before and after in Paris and the after is FANTASTIC! All because of determined leadership, something thats greatly missing in my community. @districtofoakbay.bsky.social OAK BAY COUNCIL TAKE NOTE.

Exactly. The garbage that comes out of Trump’s mouth - you can’t make that stuff up.
January 23, 2026 at 6:16 PM
What is shocking to me is that Trump remains in power continuing with his rampage and destruction.
January 22, 2026 at 7:23 PM
It’s beautifully done.

Oh my God! I can not believe the ignorance of this man. Wow.

Indeed Paris is a thousand times better for cycling today than it was 10 or 20 years ago when I first went there.
#boringparis-cyclingdiary share a lovely #paris urban bike ride . The ambient audio & violin music as good as the videography. I have visited Paris years ago & it looks so so so much better to ride a bike there now. 2 wheeled progress . Hope & inspiration for all cities. ❤️🚲🇫🇷

I believe that to be true. However, there are still some districts / municipalities that have not ‘got the memo’ yet. I’ll point a BIG stick at the District of Oak Bay that’s very good at engaging, surveying, feedback but NOT at implementing anything resembling cycling infrastructure.

I believe there are a number of Canadians who feel this way about the USA.
