Hochul: The whole crew has to go. It’s a joke, so they should clean house, kick their asses out of town, say “we’re starting over,” and stop militarizing our streets with people who have literally days or weeks of training

Since I'm pretty sure this administration doesn't realize this document exists, it would be worth downloading the 2020 Intelligence Community Assessment on foreign threats to the U.S. elections before it disappears, which includes the following finding:

So if you meet with these historians
I'll tell you what to say
Tell them that the Nazis
Never really went away

They're out there burning houses down
And peddling racist lies

And we'll never rest again
Until every Nazi dies.

To the extent that the regime has made changes, it’s all window dressing…

• ICE/CBP are still terrorizing Minnesotans
• Feds are still hiding their identities
• Murderous “agents” are still not being investigated
• Corruption worse than ever before
• The Epstein files still haven’t been released

As far as I know, Tom Suozzi here still does not have a primary challenger in his district (NY-3 on Long Island).

The filing deadline is April 6 for the primary on June 23, and if there's a remotely progressive town council member or PTA president in that district, this is the time to make a move.
Confronted Congressman Tom Suozzi, one of seven Democrats casting the decisive votes to increase ICE funding by $10,000,000,000.

This isn't mine, and I can't definitively find the original source. But I love this little bit of wisdom:

"If you're a fifteen-minute walk from a coffee shop, but the server there has to drive an hour to get to work, you don't live in a walkable city. You live in a theme park."
For all the fearmongering about capital flight from New York City, there’s an exodus few want to talk about: working people.

Sky-high rents and outrageous child care costs are already pushing families out of the city they keep running.

That’s what we have to change.

Survey: Most Americans Are Open To Ditching Their Cars — Streetsblog USA

New York, call Schumer at (202) 224-6542 and tell him that better rules and training will not fix this. ICE must be completely dismantled.

And if you don't live in New York, call your senator and tell them that the only sensible position is to abolish ICE and replace Schumer as minority leader.
SCHUMER says Democrats are “united” behind three DHS reforms

1/ End roving patrols; tighten the rules on warrants and require ICE to coordinate with local authorities.

2/ Enforce accountability; a uniform code of conduct.

3/ Require masks off, body cameras on, agents carry ID.

I do not know how else to say this but...

If a Redcoat said this to a Son of Liberty in 1773 and it made the rounds in the pamplets, it would still be a story Americans told about the tyranny and violence of British subjugation to this day.

The biggest risk in this moment is something sociologists call “symbolic compliance.”

That’s when an institution that is violating civil rights gives the public just enough symbolic victories that accountability efforts lose steam before there has been any meaningful change.

Warrants for arrests are already law!
Asking them to do what they are already required by law to do is signaling to every voter that these Dems do not care and are not interested in protecting any of us from these murdering thugs.
Dems coalescing around 5 restrictions on ICE, I'm told:

DHS required to cooperate with state probes (big)
CBP stays at border
warrants for arrests
IDs, bodycams
ICE out of churches, schools

"That package unites a lot of Dems," Sen Chris Murphy tells me on the pod:
