when i was a kid i didn't understand why they were advertising "anti-lock brakes". surely the best brakes were the ones that stopped you as fast as possible by any means necessary. the best brakes imaginable would be a stick through the spokes.

Existing disability services are deeply underfunded, aggressively audited, means-tested constantly, and can be labyrinthine to even access or maintain without assistance. As someone who spent two decades as a cog in that system, concerns about fraud are overblown compared to the real existing need.
Balancing "no person with a disability should be denied accommodations" with "it's important to discourage non-disabled people from pretending to be disabled to take advantage of these accommodations" is really difficult and I don't have a great answer for what anyone should do about it.

there's a lot of valid reasons to rag on genshin but i don't think i'll ever understand the "ew all twinks" one
i remember 00s gaming. character creators often had minimum width for shoulders far broader than my irl ones. everyone was yoked! and it wasn't seen a reasonable thing to complain about!

look, it's gauche to decree you want a movie made as president, i would simply make it law for all retailers within 20 miles of Rian Johnson's residence to slip a download code for 999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors in with his groceries until he gets the hint
If you were a despotic president, what movie would you force Hollywood to make? I want to see Quentin's Star Trek movie or maybe Kill Bill Vol 3.
