A member of Congress could literally bet on their own vote and profit 10x. A White House aide could bet on a tariff decision before it’s announced. Theres ZERO oversight. This isn’t innovation, it’s legalized insider trading on democracy itself. Ban Kalshi politics

Genuine question: has any GOP member of house or senate spoken out about the Dept of defense and Hegseth threatening sen Mark Kelly with lawfare? Beyond disturbing

Especially any veterans?

Shame on all those who stay silent

Every Democrat in Congress should put out a video saying troops have an obligation to refuse unlawful orders. Make them prosecute all of you. This isn't a close call.

I'd add Republicans too if I thought any of them had the courage to actually cross Trump on this.
Hegseth is now threatening to recall Sen. Mark Kelly to active duty in order to court martial him.

Trump's secret police vandalize houses and cars, assault citizens, fire potential lethal weapons for the hell of it, and assault children, often as sexual predators... and claim impunity for all of this. CATO proposes the fix. In the meantime it's essential to document all these crimes rigorously.

This should send shivers down the spine of Republican and Democratic members of Congress alike.

It's a 'perspective' not capable of negotiating for true U.S. interests.

“Deportation judge” sort of predetermines the outcome, doesn’t it?
So if the DOJ’s ‘Become a Deportation Judge’ page won’t load on your phone, here’s why: they Base64-encoded multi-megabyte images directly into the HTML. Nothing says ‘tech savvy’ like shipping a 7-million-character <img> tag.

The GOP is fully responsible for this. Dereliction of duty.
A story in two parts. At the start of the Trump administration I heard from Republican Senators that they knew the outlandish people Trump was sending up for confirmation were tests of the "if you roll on this, you'll roll on everything" variety. And they rolled (1/2)

In the last ten years, the number of billionaires in the US has nearly doubled and their collective wealth has nearly tripled. Their political contributions makeup an increasing share of campaign funding. Great reporting from @washingtonpost.com with data from @opensecrets.org

The local paper reported that was false.

So DHS quietly removed that statement—and never admitted they lied. www.charlotteobserver.com/news/local/c...

Reprehensible coming from the president. And a blatant lie. They didn't refer to "the president's orders" they referred to "unlawful orders".

We all know he's unfit to be president. It's time for the gop to fix it's problem.
