Posters make their own timeline, but they do not make it as they please; they do not make it under self-selected circumstances, but under circumstances existing already, given and transmitted from the past.

Yeah. Before the fall, CK's act—and his fandom—rested on the premise that his worst self wasn't his true self. Now it's the opposite, and that's just not interesting as comedy.
He is just generally an alt-right, unrepentantly racist and transphobic piece of shit. He is also a genuinely bad comedian, much in the way that thin-skinned assholes often are 🤷‍♀️

He's still trying to make his comeback happen.

Horrific.
NEW: The New York Times got a State Dept. cable telling diplomats to destroy visas that had been approved and printed to give to Afghans. And diplomats are told to do scheduled interviews but not grant visas. US shuts all legal entry routes for Afghans. Our story: www.nytimes.com/2025/11/28/u...

our media is so obsessed with the five famous assholes who unapologetically fucked up instead of all the people who didn't

what about everyone who doesn't "need" a second chance because they didn't expose themselves or assault anyone or move a former student into their house right after graduation?

It's also interesting that's there's only 11 stars.

Aren't there 13 stars in the American flag which represent the original 13 colonies?

Only 11 states i can think of.....

The Confederacy.

coincidence? 🤔

In 1938, a New York Times reporter warned:

“When and if fascism comes to America it will not be labeled ‘made in Germany’; it will not be marked with a swastika; it will not even be called fascism; it will be called, of course, ‘Americanism’.”

Arizona is reporting a 16% increase in child fatalities from infectious disease in 2024.

About 1/3 of the deaths were from vaccine-preventable disease.

RFK Jr. wasn’t in office yet, but he’s been a leader in spreading lies for 20 years, and his influence is now wholly unchecked. Trouble ahead.

I'm genuinely shocked by this behavior from the French. They, of all people, should know that you coat in egg BEFORE you dredge in flour. He's never going to fry up properly now.

This AP news story is incredible from front to back but I wanted to flag something super serious and wildly illegal that may have flown under the radar. It’s called parallel construction and it’s when intel is washed from spy agencies and used by local cops. apnews.com/article/immi...

Apparently the Ford government is removing the law that prevented Air Miles from expiring. A popular and sensible law, removed to accommodate a business at the expense of regular people.

Whatever. It’s perfectly fine.

If no one is going to even bother introducing an impeachment article then no system can do anything.

A Maine woman retired early to be a caregiver for her terminally ill mother.

Now she’s facing cancer herself, and because ACA subsidies won’t be extended, she is losing her healthcare.

Her costs are going up for $49,000 a year.

This isn’t healthcare, it’s eugenics.

Medicare for all.

The death of sincerity lies in capitalism.

Apart from the internet there is also streaming ad fatigue. The point of these streaming services was as an alternative to cable and the point of cable was an alternative to censored & interrupted from ad content, television.

But they defied that point

nope. anthropic made a dataset including fake emails implying a nonexistent engineer was having an affair and the chatbot emitted words related to words from those fake emails implying a fictitious affair. then a bunch of dipshit frauds at anthropic made the home alone face and ran around the house.
