As a grad student instructor at OU I definitely gave at least one student a failing grade for citing the Bible (and no other sources) as empirical evidence. Which underscores that this isn't even a consistent OU policy.

I really hope that TA is suing. Because there's simply no arguing that this paper deserved a passing grade. If this is what the academic standard at OU is, employers should be reluctant to hire recent grads.

When I talk to my 15 year olds about AIDS activism, part of what we unpack is how many different forms it took at once. The quilt, the die ins, TAG, ashes on the WH lawn. The giant inflatable condom (a favorite). Every single form was necessary. Don't wait for the "right" kind of protest.
AIDS isn't over. We've made miraculous leaps forward, but in the US, treatment is based on health insurance which is tied to employment. No one should die of AIDS in 2025 bc they can't afford their meds. Research grants are being slashed, the NIH hobbled. What happens next time?

HIV treatment works.
Treatment also makes it impossible for me to pass HIV on during sex.
