My daughter Alma is hungry, weak, and crying in pain every night. We live without food or safety. I hold her close, praying someone out there still cares. Your kindness could mean a meal or medicine for her
Please, help us survive your compassion can save my child

Google at its peak was basically the best information retrieval system in human history and they and every competitor decided going from there to “you didn’t want answers you wanted half-assed auto-complete 80%-wrong hallucinations” in a few years was the right idea

Mass executive dysfunction and disability, which was sincerely considered and illuminated by serious and credentialed people from quite early in the pandemic, actually.

I remember the podcast Radiolab being VERY on top of it, for one example.
New studies come out all the time. I understand it’s hard to face but everyone should know the truth.

“Everyone [who’s] had COVID-19 tends to have some lasting reduction in brain blood flow (CBF), mainly in frontotemporal areas – even if they feel 100% recovered [and the infection was mild].”
Latest 🚨🧵by Dr. @harryspoelstra.bsky.social on Covid's impact on the right-occipital areas, where visual information is processed!

SARS-CoV-2 "...causes persistent cerebral hypoperfusion (mainly frontotemporal) that can still be detected months later..."

I'd somehow forgotten but absolutely, Ken Burns is a liar... I'll repeat, a liar... and is being used liberally across all schools, governments, and institutions in the U.S. regardless of superficial ideological indoctrination.

He creates NPR-esque whitewashing that makes all of whiteness happy.

This may bey favorite long-song of all time. Top ten for sure.

Yarbrough & Peoples

Don't Stop the Music (1980)

Really.

It begs multiple deep listens where you listen for different things each time. The production, engineering, performances, and arrangement/writing?

Upper upper echelon.

Applied Person-Centered praxis and pedagogy, informed by trauma-informed care and neurodiversity-affirming framings... informed by classic behaviorism and even theoretical behavior analysis, is the only way to go.

It cannot be ABA.

It cannot be radical behaviorism.

Skinner and Lovaas must GO.

What impact are you having on the nervous systems of children, for the sake of forcing them to mask and take on the responsibility of how society and their own families and caregivers treat and perceive them?

That's the million-dollar question.

And then, if it's harmful... what do you DO?
