Funnily enough, I’m seeing a distinct lack of the usual ‘poppy fever’. I guess there’s no time to remember when you’re stomping all over the ideals your ancestors fought for.

How will our politicians stand at those cenotaphs and solemnly swear ‘never again’ whilst a genocide takes place once more?

The real purpose of remembrance is to not glorify acts of war, but to remember what was lost in the name of peace.

The best thing I ever read about them was, ‘tricolours - they’re not for beginners’ 🤣

They’re the absolute best! In a litter of 6, there was only Merlin and his sister, Edith, who were tri. Both parents were red too. Genetics are cool.

Today marks the equinox, the point where the scales will now tip in the favour of darkness as the start of astronomical autumn begins.

It feels a little less equinoxal for me, as I gaze up at Ionian skies 🌌
