I foster kittens, play video games, sometimes draw, sometimes bake, sometimes go adventuring. The resident animals are 2 dogs (Zadie and Coco) and 2 cats (Mabel and Dipper).

Planted all my cloves and gave them a nice little pat to wish them luck. Just got to tuck them in for the winter with some mulch!

Look. I have trouble with straight lines. Always forward, never straight amirite? Thought I'd help myself out by measuring and putting down twine to keep my rows decent. Then I jammed a rake handle into the ground to mark my planting spots, and dug down to 6 inches with a fork.

A 6 by 10 foot patch of god tier dirt. There's a twine grid on half of it. Each square is 6 inches and there are 6 inch holes in the middle of each square.

It's planting day!

I started by popping all the cloves off my seed garlic - 34 cloves in total to be planted. I immediately screwed up by mixing them together. Now I don't know which variety is which. Guess it'll be a surprise!

They also like to play and make messes! This was my foster-but-now-here-forever kids first experience with clay litter lol

I took the twins up to get their vaccines at Spokane Humane Society today*! Did you know they help low income folks with veterinary services? Just another reason to donate to your local Humane Society 💜

(*turns out their appointment is actually next week. Oops. I have serious potato brain lately.)

The strawberry patch looks naked now lol

Also my compost tumblers are almost full already, which, yay. But also oh no,I was hoping to have the second one open for winter composting.

A 4 by 4 raised strawberry bed made from wood and cider blocks. Half the strawberry plants are trying to escape. There is a very nice looking, if I do say so myself, gravel area surrounding the bed. Behind it is a 6 by 10 dirt patch for garlic with metal fencing over the top to keep the neighborhood cats from using it as a litter box

I think Zadie might have had the right idea.
