hello I hate everything
If new proposals detailed in an FDA memo are put into place, experts told me it would mean the end of annual flu shots. And end of most vaccines for pregnant people. And maybe the end of updates to pneumonia vaccines. And more.

Thank you for naming how race and class makes a difference when it comes to who ableism is weaponized against in the academic-industrial complex, as I am neither white nor upper middle class, so I was pushed out of what I came to call "an equity office in name only" at UofT!?! 🔥 vimeo.com/540439056

Balancing "the disabled person has more struggles and therefore may need extra help" with "they're such a drain on the system, and besides the billionaires and corporate suits need more tax cuts" is really difficult and I don't have a great answer for what anyone should do about it.

(This is fun)
Seeing the disability accommodation discourse and thinking tangentially about the utter bullshit of being permanently disabled, have been permanently disabled now for 19 years, and I still have to prove in some way or another periodically that I'm still PERMANENTLY DISABLED.

Make it make sense.

Thank you for bringing me on! Connecting #disability with true crime is something I'm fully passionate about, & I hope it shows when you all watch the episode!
I’d love to sit around and school this guy but I’m interviewing @vilissathompson.bsky.social and @joshmankiewicz.bsky.social for my podcast this morning and I must prepare.

Adios!
