Years ago, my psychologist and I discussed the possibility that I might have ADHD.

W/Bipolar disorder l plus PTSD, it was too complicated to pursue back then.

I am reminded of this because my spouse has mentioned he has noticed characteristics of ADHD in me over the years.

Maybe.

ICE ran over an immigrant’s legs with their SUV while attempting to detain him.

His family can’t locate him.

This is eerily reminiscent of the LA car wash raids where a man broke his leg and then disappeared for over a month.

ICE had him chained to a hospital bed under an assumed name

The Vancouver Police Department is investigating after a man appeared to have his legs run over by a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement truck while being detained Thursday.

There are two things I would like to complete today.

A long walk w/Rogue. Pure fun.

To sort thru the huge box of yarn/knitting stash my friend shipped and box up the freebies I will list for local folks.

I need brain power for sorting, so should do that while I am able to think. So, now.

Anywho, it's valuable to read deeply about Montgomery if you are organizing today. Start with @jeannetheoharis.bsky.social's The Rebellious Life of Rosa Parks - www.penguinrandomhouse.com/books/221039... - the book also has a young reader's edition.

Controversially, I don't think that if social media had existed that Montgomery could have lasted as long as it did. Bad actors and human nature would have spread negativity, trafficked in gossip, and torn down the leaders in ways that they could not do in 1955/56.

I cannot count the number of times I have been out with my service dog (SD) and a stranger has interrupted me to share how inspirational I am.

For just living my life.

Being disabled brings many challenges, many due to lack of support by the public.

But don’t praise me for surviving you all.

And if you can’t back them up with logic and facts, then just shut up because you are just polluting the air and the ether with your ignorance.
That racism coming out of your mouth is a choice. If there is anything to take from your elders, "think before you speak," is rarely adhered to in this day of instantaneous information, technology, and oversharing. Speaking is also strategic. There should always be intent in your words.
Not dealing with so-called "woke backash" and teaching white youth how to bear any challenges to their beliefs (because youth of color expect it) would have been helpful in a society that is primed to become a majority "minority" country. You can't talk recklessly racist and not expect a challenge.
