Both racism and deflation are bad.
Fed Governor Stephen Miran: "Cutting down net migration to 0, potentially even negative because of the deportations that have been occurring, I think is very deflationary."

Troy Parrott's double keeps his team's chances of second place alive.

Portugal need to better Hungary's result on Sunday to qualify for next summer's tournament.

TV news removes information from your brain.
as someone who was paid to do it for over a decade, i dont know how people can stand to watch cable news for free. it doesnt inform you about anything. they repeat either conventional wisdom or newswire reporting you could scan in 5 minutes. it is a net negative for humanity.

Typical hedging headline from the NYT, aside, there's no other option but to demand the resignation of the President, Speaker Johnson, and all complicit in the coverup of these horrific actions.

This is not the first time Trump has revealed complete ignorance about how insurance works and why it is necessary. It's astounding how many low-information voters believe he must know something since he's rich.

@seidler.bsky.social Here's an interesting dilemma: Yesavage or McLean? I'm trying to decide which to protect in an offseaon scoresheet draft. I will almost certainly lose the one I don't protect.

It's a work.
Greene: "I will praise Nancy Pelosi. She had an incredible career for her party. I served under her speakership in my first term in Congress and I'm very impressed at her ability to get things done. I wish we could get things done for our party like Nancy Pelosi was able to deliver for her party."

The factional grifters will hate this, but the Mamdani-Spanberger-Sherrill axis actually suggests the outlines of a broad, emerging Dem coalition organized around both anti-Trump *and* affordability politics, not a party bitterly divided against itself.
These big wins will embolden Dems to take on Trump's lawbreaking and show there's a price for GOP enabling of him. Folks hate to hear this, but normal patterns are asserting themselves: Liberalism isn't dead, Rs are likely to lose in 2026, and Trump is really unpopular, not a magical exception.

He is a very stupid and dangerous man.
Beyond its utter depravity, this is an extremely dangerous narrative that can ignite political violence against immigrant communities.
Elon Musk, "These lovely small towns in England, Scotland and Ireland, they've been living their lives quietly. They're like hobbits"

"And so one day, 1,000 people show up in your village of 500 and start raping the kids"

"This has now happened, God knows how many times in Britain"

I think this is a very significant - and sickening - moment.
Kevin Roberts' defense of Nick Fuentes is a watershed moment: the right has officially declared open, unabashed Hitlerism to be an acceptable position in their coalition

John Roberts has a lot to answer for.
Q: On the pardon of Changpeng Zhao, Binance has significant business interests with World Liberty Financial, the president family's crypto company. How do you respond to criticisms that this is a corrupt act?

LEAVITT: I would respond and say the president is exercising his constitutional authority
