Here’s the spot where Rosalie was hit by a driver last week, at around the same time of day. Note the lack of pedestrian lead, and how short that pedestrian signal is. Also how broad this intersection is to cross.

Who asked you, JD Vance?
Vice-President Vance, your unsolicited advice on Canadian immigration policy isn't wanted. Best thing Canada can do is shut out the noise from meddlesome US political leaders.

A huge 89% majority of global people [56% even in the United States] want stronger action to fight the #ClimateCrisis, but mistakenly believe they’re in a minority.

People want action. Smart cities are taking action. Nations should support city action.

Once again, folks: any deal between Alberta and Ottawa that requires a) BC's approval, and b) significant support from coastal First Nations is a deal for a pipeline that will never happen.

If Carney can get Smith to agree to ratchet up industrial carbon pricing in exchange? That feels like a win.

It will be interesting to see exactly where this goes. I feel like Carney is handing her the keys but she needs to drive the car all the way to the coast. She won't be able to blame Ottawa anymore for her failings.

I walk and bike across this intersection all the time with my family. It feels like the “safer” option than Osborne and River, but it’s still designed entirely for the fast flow of cars through Osborne Village, not for the many other road users in this very biking and walking-heavy neighborhood.
Getting word that the pedestrian hit by a driver at Osborne and Roslyn last week has died.

Roslyn and Osborne is a deadly intersection because it is built to move cars through it quickly. Every design decision has been made for the convenience of drivers, not safety for the people like Rosalie who lived there.
