Once again, Will Bunch is why I am now a Phildadelphia Inquirer subscriber.
The senseless murder of Alex Pretti is finally showing everyday folks that the Trump regime is beyond any redemption. And in an anti-religious age, it's sparked a quest for a new American morality

It's beyond politics now. This is about good vs. evil

Alex Pretti’s ICE murder is beyond politics. This is about good vs. evil | Will Bunch
Trump's inhumane immigration raids and two ICE murders has triggered an American yearning for a return to morality.

The Minnesota killings laid bare that Trump’s project is regime change. The goal was described by MAGA thinkers, the pattern set on Day One. The nation let his early moves—the Jan. 6 pardons, the TikTok power grab—slip by. Denial & complacency must end. Now

"What we’re doing is very basic: it’s giving people food and walking around recording on our cell phone. And when you’re not allowed to do that — when that becomes high-risk — there’s a sense of, my basic rights are being violated."
"We had one hotel publicly refuse to house ICE, which became a big national news story when DHS went after them. That’s a hotel we were targeting, and it was mostly because of our pressure. We had two more hotels temporarily shut down to avoid housing ICE..."

While glad to see Bovino humbled, I really don’t have any higher opinion of Homan—a cruel, cold, corrupt, calculating bureaucrat who’s devoted more of his career to mass deportation than almost anyone. He’s the architect of child separation.

F-in' Mr. Empathy right there.
While talking about Alex Pretti, Trump suggests he feels even worse about Renee Good because her parents were Trump fans.

I'm just going to keep saying this until I die:

In a white supremacist patriarchy, you have value only insofar as you serve the white supremacist patriarchy.

Kyle Rittenhouse & Ashli Babbitt did. Renee Good & Alex Pretti didn't. On Jan 6, the insurrectionists did. The cops didn't.

Rinse, repeat.
The people who spent years defending and even lionizing Kyle Rittenhouse and Ashli Babbitt now want us to believe that an unarmed mother in her car and a disarmed nurse were domestic terrorists who deserved to be murdered by law enforcement.

Spurs currently lead the Premier League (tied w/ City) in muscle injuries. If you were a fan, journalist, or pundit who speculated last season the Ange was causing muscle injuries, please reply here with your theory about why Thomas Frank is causing so many muscle injuries. Thank you.

That's what right now needs, your anger.

They call it the “whatever works defense”
So the right is now saying that carrying a hidden gun legally is justification for the state removing that gun and killing you. After decades of using the opposite argument to support their very existence?
